If you’ve opted for a Chromebook, chances are you’re going to want to install at least a few apps from the Chrome App Store. While you won’t find nearly as many choices here as in the Google Play store, the Chrome marketplace has you covered, whether you’re looking to edit photos, enjoy music, play games, or manage your finances. Plus, there are a number of apps that work offline, which is great for when you can’t connect via Wi-Fi. Google itself makes a number of useful productivity tools, including Google Calendar and Google Drive, but what about the rest of the ecosystem?

Kindle Cloud Reader
If you have a new ebook on your Amazon Kindle but don't have the device with you, you can access it on your Chromebook by using the Kindle Cloud Reader. The Web app lets you read more than one million Kindle books in your browser and pick up right where you left off on your Kindle. You can also customize how you want the page layout to look based on colors and font size. Plus, you'll get all of Amazon's helpful features, like the ability to create notes, highlights and bookmarks, and view old notes you've made on your Kindle device.
